Gaetan Pacton

Of French origin, Gaëtan Pacton came to Romania in the late 1990s, as a student at a management faculty who had strong partnerships with Eastern Europe, more precisely with Poland, Belarus and Romania. He followed three months of practice in Romania and, in parallel with the faculty, he signed a partnership with Hiproma SA, a Carrefour franchisee who was looking at that time for young managers for the opening the first Carrefour hypermarket in Romania. He was chief of department and purchaser of grocery products, and afterwards he was responsible for logistics, investment and operational projects.

Gaëtan Pacton has been working for Profi since 2011, when he started as COO (operational director). Since 2013 he has been leading the retailer’s expansion strategy as Vice President of the company.

Under his leadership over the past 13 years, Profi has experienced remarkable growth. The number of stores has grown from 83 to over 1,770 now, and 6 new Profi warehouses have been opened, with Gaëtan playing a key role in these achievements. Gaëtan's vision and strategic acumen have been instrumental in positioning Profi as a leading retail player in the region. His commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction continues to drive the company towards new heights of success.
